Artist Review

It started for lead singer Matt Hammitt way back when he was in Fine Arts Festival, that is when he knew he wanted to make music. So forth, this Independant band from Ohio was birthed. They received their big break in early '02 when they signed with Sparrow Records.

Then, they released their debut album later that year entitled Say It Loud; which established them as a rock band with great potential, making their next release a very anticipated album; and I have to tell you, they banked on that potential. Fight The Tide was released in June of 2004 and the growth from Say It Loud was evident. From production to lyrical content, Fight The Tide has it. "You are not alone, know that I would fight the tides to be together," as quoted from the song 'Alone'. A great rocking song, which is basically the title track of the album and the overall theme of it. This album is all about the guitars and most are pretty up-beat ripping songs, except for the sad closing track 'Say Goodbye'. The album kicks off with the very worshipful smash 'Everything About You'. Other highlights include 'Closer', 'The Show', & 'You Can't Hide'. If you like good solid rock and are looking for some great messages in it, look no further than Sanctus Real, these guys got it going on. Definitely looking forward to what the future holds for this band.

Keep your eyes peeled, the future begins with 'The Face of Love' on April 4th, 2006!
