Spiritual Birthdays

Birthdays can be special days in people’s lives … but the older you get … the less likely you are to want to make much of a fuss or have a big celebration to honor your special day.

I did a little research online about some of the people that share my family's birthdays.  Here are a few ...

It’s interesting to see who we share our birthdays with!

Read:  John 3:1-16  

Verse 3 says that, “… no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.”

When we accept Christ into our lives … we experience a spiritual birth … it’s our spiritual birthday.  It’s a day to celebrate!

Luke 15:10 says that there is rejoicing in the presence of angels when even one sinner repents!

Most people are overwhelmed with joy and thankfulness when they experience their spiritual birth (salvation).

The problem is that like our physical birthdays … when it comes to our spiritual birthdays … the longer we serve God … the older we get ‘in Christ’ … unfortunately the less likely we are to celebrate … or even pinpoint the exact day of our spiritual birthday.

Most of us remember the point in our life, maybe the place we were at, or who it was that led us to Christ … but probably most of us would have a hard time nailing down an exact date with certainty of our spiritual birth.

It’s great to celebrate our natural birthday … but it’s even greater to be able to celebrate our spiritual birthday!

Growing up in church all your life ... most PK's can have a feeling of being 'saved from birth' ... but the truth is that every one of us must experience a personal and authentic relationship with God for ourselves.
